Community

There is a great description of what it means to be a Church in the Bible. Before there were church buildings and professional clergy the followers of Jesus simply gathered together in houses and shared a meal, studied the teachings of the apostles, prayed together and shared whatever resources they could muster to make a difference in their community. Pretty simple right?

Christ the Servant seeks to be a community like that. We gather for worship on Sundays but each week our church gathers in houses around our city to eat, pray and study together. We are also members of the community in which we live. Each month we find ways to serve our schools, neighborhoods, and our community members. We believe that we are responsible for the community at large.
